Read the actual failure
Record the exact error and the affected sequence. Check whether the job failed before encoding, while reading a source, or while publishing the output. These stages suggest different causes.
Verify inputs and destination
Original-media export requires verified originals even when the viewer uses proxies. Reconnect the expected sources and inspect Project Status. Confirm that the destination is writable and has enough space, especially for a mastering codec.
Use a new output name while diagnosing the issue so the last known good delivery remains intact.
The movie differs from the viewer
Compare the same timecode and inspect source quality, caption mode, audio mix inclusion, dimensions, and saved delivery specification. A portrait sequence with fixed landscape output settings can produce an unexpected result.
Review mute, solo, visibility, and the selected caption language. For color differences, also consider the output pipeline and the player’s display behavior.
Retry with evidence
After fixing the stated issue, retry the job or export a short representative section. Open the result and inspect the reported QC. Keep the project, source identities, and error text available for a reproducible support report.
