Collect before moving
Use File → Project Media → Collect Media into a Project Folder (⌥⌘K). Choose a destination with enough free space for the selected media. A normal project save does not perform the same collection.
The collected folder and its manifest make a handoff inspectable. Keep the folder’s structure intact while transferring it.
Verify the destination
- Open the collected project from its destination location.
- Check Project Status for offline media or mismatches.
- Play the beginning, a middle edit, and the ending.
- Review title fonts, captions, and audio routing.
- Export a short representative range when the destination environment differs.
Keep the original working project until this check is complete. Copying a folder successfully establishes transfer, not that every dependency is usable.
Rights travel separately
Include source credits and any license information the recipient needs. Permission to use a stock asset in an exported film does not necessarily permit distributing its original file as tutorial media. Use owned or explicitly redistributable assets for public project downloads.
